Before general contracting, owner Veniamin Plotnikov spent years in natural stone and countertop fabrication. That's an unusual background for a general contractor, and it changes how the work gets done — slab layout planned around veining, seams placed where they disappear, tile patterns set out before the first cut.
It also means we know what's supposed to be behind the tile. Most tile failures aren't tile failures — they're waterproofing failures. We rebuild the substrate properly rather than covering up what's there.
